Our Mission

The Pinellas Chaplains Association strives to provide pastoral care and crisis ministry to members of the first responder family. We accomplish this through the use of trained chaplains. We offer education, counseling and referrals.

Our core values are integrity, confidentiality, and excellence.

No one is confronted with more situations that demoralize and create emotional, mental, and spiritual burdens than todays emergency First Responders. Our chaplains are aware of the fact that Police Officers, Firefighters and Emergency Service Personnel have an extremely difficult job. These valiant individuals are constantly in the presence of danger, under pressure and scrutiny. First responders are witness to traumatic events on a daily basis and see the aftermath of a great deal of violence.

First Responders are also constantly assaulted by personal stressors from outside the department. Because these burdens also affect the responder’s family and other members of his or her department, the chaplain is also available to the First Responders family and co-workers as needed.

The Emergency Services Chaplain strives to create a relationship with All First Responders such that they feel free to approach the Chaplain for counsel at any time without fear of judgment or reprisal

How We Help

Take a look inside the life of some of our first responders. By acknowledging the realities that comes with being a first responder, we are able to care for them and provide counseling and other resources that are specific to the responder.
